Safety first

Like some other fellow bloggers, my favourite part of Rodney Pinder's talk was when he finished giving us all the death toll figures and moved on to his personal experiences. Such as running away from machine gun wielding africans whilst trying to move a heavy colleague suffering a heart attack to get the first story on the mass killings in Matabeleland. Which he got.


It is stories like that that we student journalists crave, we want to be reminded of why we are sitting through lecture

Entry and exit clicks in an online world.

The role of newspapers has changed. Richard Burton stated that newspapers are no longer vehicles of breaking news and have not been since the advent of 24 hour news.
