sorry 'gays' in andover!! I think you've got it confused with the other andover. I went to see a bi friend of mine in Southampton, but that was hardly amazing fun, we just had lunch and then I realised I was going to get clamped so didn't do any Christmas shopping. Done that all now though... Yippee!!! Doing a shift of work tonight, then might go out tomorrow, but can't really be bothered, but should make the effort to see my old work mates who I ain't seen yet. You up to much?

Yes I was online, then I went offline. But exciting as being at home is, I am now back online!! Well thank god I am working tomorrow!!! Had my Dad telling me how Graham Norton annoys him making jokes about his sexuality (which I don't think he does half as much as me) shortly before commenting that he can have a laugh and a joke with/at those 'gays'!! Oh I can tell this will be a fun Christmas!!!

Capturing Cardiff - The City on Camera

One clear way to ‘capture’ Cardiff is to do so on film – and sights of film crews on the streets of the city are becoming more frequent. The TV and film industry has been part of the city’s media presence for a long time - HTV, BBC Wales and S4C have all used the city as a back

Searching for hidden treasure

Search engines are curious beasts. Just the name itself conjures up either some kind of industrial monstrosity with grinding cogs and billowing steam that's working to find you what you want. Or in a slightly more surreal version, I imagine tiny internet imps scurrying up and down cables to find bits of information and scampering back with it... I don't think I'd really ever thought about how they worked or what they do. But this is what I spent most of

The Content Owners Strike Back

Shopping on the internet is a grand thing for those who hate mixing with the hoi polloi on the High Street. So thank you Kim Hollamby for introducing me to a new shopping friend www.trustedreviews.com. Somewhere I can go and peruse the many exciting electronic-y bits and see which one is the winner. Except, unfortunately, I am a sceptical person and never trust anything that outwardly asserts itself as trust-worthy. It's like a pub saying that it do

Finding myself a Seth Cohen sidekick

"Don't worry, there are jobs out there!" (um, if you don't mind working in advertising or PR for a few years just while we wade through the redundancies...) Thanks Richard.

That inspiring note aside, Richard Burton was a fun and informing guest lecturer, and something which endeared him to me - a proper hack.

He's never met a 2.0 journalist, which is great because nor have I. Sounds like a really bad sequel, or an upgrade of al

Geography projects, mating toads and Pete Clifton

BBC News Online is 10 years old and has served me well through these years.

I remember using it for homework when I had to do projects on Japan and Nigeria in year 9 Geography. (The 'Country Profiles' that Pete Clifton spoke about sound like they would have done this job nicely...) When I tried my hand at worthy extra-curricular pursuits such as debating and
