Hi Chris,

Yep that's no problem re: the work experience - I presumed someone else would apply for the position as it's a good opportunity. Will be good to have a familiar face in the office, I expect, in amongst the bizarre fish-based antics.

Have a good Christmas,
Steve

Blogging the Lectures, Anthony Mayfield, 06/12/07: "Google is a database of intentions"

Today, we were joined by Anthony Mayfield (Spannerworks) under the auspice of receiving an ‘outside view of what is happening in online media and journalism’. Never did I know how pivotal Google is to our profession/lives/loves/existence, although even thought it is hard to miss the monstrous, search engine leviathan that even has its own verb.

Blogging Lectures, Kim Hollamby, 29/11/07: "Dinosaur or Essential Survivor"

Today's lecture was everything a good piece of online news should be: informative, well presented and, most importantly, bite sized. Kim Hollamby's choice to impart his years of wisdom and irreverence in bullet points rather than preaching an apocalypse for print maybe more a testament to the

Blogging Lectures, Richard Burton, 15/11/07: "Converting To Convergence"

The calibre of guest continues to rise as Richard Burton gave his views on the changing nature of British media through the eyes of a bleak traditionalist. Not a man shy of work by any means, Burton

Blogging Lectures, Daniel Meadows, 25/10/07: "The Revolution Wil Be Digitized"

We are at an exciting crossroads in modern media. We are no longer just the originators of what people watch/read/hear/see we are also facilitators passing on stories like an HTML-encoded oral history.
