For me,Peter Clifton's basic message in this lecture was that immediacy and the race to be the first in running the story is the driving force behind the so called “digital revolution”.
I’m all for it… at 11 o’clock, George W. Bush’s correct IQ test results are found and at five past the hour the whole world can know about it in three hundred different formats… Fantastic!

Those who know me know that I can be a bit cynical so I apologize in advance. That said, the "can be" means that there are some things I can greatly appreciate. Daniel Meadows' recent lecture
has left me between a rock and a hard place.
