Oi England,

Hope Xmas is going well and that. Is it me or is Capturing Cardiff taking a lot longer than it every looked like it would?

As resident Buzz woman can I ask some advice? I'm writing a news story for them and they said I wrote it too like a news story (damn Jane and her ways) and should write it more in their style...but I don't have a copy here in Devon.

What style is the news? Jokey, punchy?

no it doesn't look okay because you haven't embedded the right code into the post.

If you don't want to download and install firefox, send me your log in and password and I'll embed the audio for you.

Promise I will forget your password immediately afterwards!

what browser are you using? if you're using IE or Safari the code won't work. I've looked at your audio and the code isn't embedded properly. Use Firefox and copy the code and then paste into the HTML area and it should work.

did you make sure you're embedding the video when the blog post is in HTML edit mode (far right button). If not the video won't embed.

Also the video doesn't show up in the post until after you publish.

Hi Rachel,

magazine is next week at 3pm and yes, we'll be going through audio uploading then (and not much else as I know you are all very busy!)

Lecture Blog: Antony Mayfield 6/11/07

' The Digital Revolution.' Like it or loathe it there can be no dispute that it's changing the world. And not solely in a commercial sense; it's changing the way people think. As Antony Mayfield correctly pointed out, what's happening in the world of technology today is akin to the advent of printing presses. With texts churned out at comparatively lightening speeds, it became viable to include indexes within them which entirely shifted people's

Lecture Blog: Kim Hollamby 28/11/07

In previous lectures there has been a great deal of onus put on 'user generated content', that no longer is journalism the domain of a privileged few, for we are all citizen journalists and the internet acts as a vehicle through which to make our voices heard.

It was refreshing then, for Kim Hollamby to offer some reassurance that we journalism students are not fighting agai

Lecture Blog: Richard 'I'm not very corporate' Burton 15/11/07

"It's all about being first;" the loose 'theme' of today's lecture. It would seem that The Telegraph website compensates for its comparatively small size by being the news source that "publishes fastest." In fact, during the 9/11 developments, the site published over 140 times in six hours. Impressive. But, as he slipped in as an aside, Richard Burton himself published a 'misnomer' which was later removed. "However," he quickly added by way of explana

Lecture Blog: Pete Effing Clifton 08/11/07

So, yet another rousing 'the future is online' splurge of facts and figures. Despite what is becoming an increasingly familiar tune in regards to this 'exciting age of digitalisation', I admit that Pete 'we don't do tabloid shit' Clifton is undoubtedly our most engaging guest yet.

It was his discussion about the concept of personalisation that caught my atten
