I'm a 21 year old Northerner but been living in Cardiff for the past 3 years while I studied for my degree in Journalism, Film and Media at Cardiff uni. I'm now continuing on from this with the newspaper diploma. Away from uni my main interest is sport, especially running, swimming and going to the gym. I also have a brown belt in judo. Print still alive despite the threat of the ticker

Like many of my colleagues I had to smile as Richard Burton, former editor of The Telegraph online, opened the lecture with four precious words; “Print is not dead”. Pete Clifton - BBC Interactive lecture

Sometimes the things I can do scares me. But then when I find out about the things I can do which I didn’t actually realise I could do, it scares me more.
I wouldn’t class myself as a technophobe. Not at all. I’m a regular facebook updater, news.bbc.co.uk checker and thanks to online journalism now have my own flickr, netvibes and ning account too. The amount we can do with the media and technology these days is quite amazing and makes you wonder what else will develop.
