Capturing 'Cardiff' - Real Bettws FC

It’s probably fair to say that when I decided to do a story on Real Bettws, the amusingly-named football club for young people in the Newport estate of the same name, I thought I knew what I was getting into. After all, Chairman Nobby Woodcock was named

You say you want a revolution....

...yes, another one of my blogs starts with an appalling rip-off of a song lyric. Though in my defence, as this screenshot shows, the wonderful people behind Civilization III, one of the greatest games of all time; did get in before me here.

So anyway, did anything Mr Burton have to say compare to the work of his (more) famous namesake? Well, in something of a shocking revelation considering the… Continue

F**k me... it's Pete Clifton...

...head of BBC News Interactive until tomorrow, and probably the most lucid guest we've been treated to so far! In fairness to him, the f**k-o-meter was stuck at a decidedly mediocre 5 counts by the end of the lecture and another of his statements, 'we don't do any of this tabloid sh*t', was, I thought, entirely valid.

In fact, I would go so far to say that Pete was probably the most engaging and interesting guest we've had so far. Clearly some of this is down to the fact that he's obvi… Continue
