Ahh yeah, Cowboy Bebop is fantastic stuff! The Boondock Saints is a different thing - I've never seen it but always meant to :). The Boondocks is a political cartoon about a black family in suburban America by a guy called Aaron MacGruder, and it's absolute genius.
Samuel L Jackson voices a white guy in it (ooh clever!).
Anyways, my taxi arrives in 6 hours to take me to the station so I'd best get to bed Sam dear. Got to finish Capturing Cardiff in Scotland! xx

"The Professional Journalist in 2008 - Dinosaur or Essential Survivor?" - Kim Hollamby

Kim Hollamby tackles the difficult issue surrounding the wonderful world of the internet: there's a price to pay for its content. How else will the writers get paid? How else will the website be maintained? The problem I think is letting people know that not everything in this world is free. We've seen the problems the music industry is facing as sales of singles and albums are declining. There are many users out there who would rather download music… Continue

"Hands-on Online Journalism" - Richard Burton

Mr Richard Burton's recent talk only served to stress the increasing need for news, online and broadcasting journalism to join forces if they are to meet the demand of the evolving audience.
Despite this overlapping, Burton stressed that news is not dead and that content is not king - news is. With his experience of judging new media websites such as The Northen Echo and… Continue

"My News Now" - Pete Clifton

Consumers are spoilt for choice in the media world today. Sky+, Channel 4's On Demand and BBC's iPlayer have all responded to our need to watch things when we want to watch them. We're all so busy living our lives that we have no time to plan it around the Radio Times's sche… Continue

Capturing Cardiff: The Future of the UK's Capital City of Trees

Cardiff has one of the richest collections of trees in the UK. With National Tree Week from 21 November to 2 December I am going to investigate how Cardiff acquired so many trees and what is done to ensure the city’s collection is not lost.

There are tree planting events in Forest Farm and Heath Park where I hope to speak to park ranger

'Digital Storytelling and Understanding a Citizen Media' - Daniel Meadows

Everyone has a story to tell, but not every story is heard. Yet the explosion of the internet has made it pretty easy to tell a story at a click of a button. The anarchist in us would say this is the democratic voice
fighting back the authoritative grip of the media.

While we may happily scour through youtube, it is presumed that we are all ‘digital literati’: voiced in all things electrical and digital. Y
