I found the most interesting part of this lecture the statistics which Kim Hollamby used to demonstrate web traffic. His source of these was a website I had previously not encountered,Hitwise,and it gave some enlightening indications on how we consume online material.

Antony Mayfield

Antony Mayfield presented an alternative format to the lectures we have become used to; permitting us an insight into the 'Dark Side'...Public Relations. Much like Kim Hollamby, Mr Mayfield began with a short analogy of statistics regarding online use. In recent years Cardiff has proved itself as a vibrant and cultural capital. The Millennium Stadium, Bay and town centre regeneration have all enhanced the popularity and international esteem in which it is held. Why therefore did Cardiff lose out to Liverpool as the 2008 'Capital of Culture'? Surely the Welsh capital has proved that it can host international events, marked recently by it's involvement with the Rugby World Cup?
