Wales' doublethink

One day, I decided to take on my time to go and give my blood. I am a real activist so this means a lot to me and I usually give my blood several times a year. The only thing that differs is that I have to queue for quite a long time before someone actually talks to me. And when I say “quite a long time”, I mean 1 hour! Never mind… After that time, someone… Continue

Pete Clifton - online's excellence

Pete Clifton is Head of BBC News interactive since 2005. For him, online evolution is quite important. The traditional audiences are indeed in decline with 68% of adults watching BBC1 or BBC2 in 2006. They were 74% in 2001. When it comes to young

The migration issue seen by a foreigner

For more than two weeks now, media have repetedly reported on the "issue of immigration". According to them, immigrants are indeed threatening the local people, stealing their jobs and housings... and have in fact a better life than natives.

Cardiff University seen by a Frog

When I arrived in Cardiff I was really amazed by the organisation of the University. We had taxis coming to the airport to drive us and our luggage to the Julian Hodge Building and from there, students helped us with our luggage and drove us to our residences as well. This was so wonderful! I couldn't believe people could be so nice and helpful!

I was allocated a student house and was so delighted to see something other than bars or towers as we have so many of them in my suburb in Fra

Capturing Cardiff assignment

I am planning to capture Cardiff with its contradictions and complexity. I would like to show the gap between the life of the students for example and the issue of homelessness. I also saw people on the street selling a newspaper called "The Big Issue", wich seems to be aiming at integrating jobless people. I am planning to investigate the subject and use it if relevant for the assignment.
